Soundhouse Brass are not going unfortunately, there are rumours that the entries so far are very very low.......shame as it`s a unique contest.
I`ve never really understood why some bands (especially some Cornish ones) never support the organisers by entering in greater numbers.

Last year the 1st and Championships section were well attended but the lower sections were poor.
I don't know why it's such a bad turn out, it's a brilliant contest. Maybe bands from other areas of the country who fancy a weekend away would consider it.

Our band aren't going either, although I wanted too!! :(

Reasons being that the problem is when it is! We've just done a contest, moved some players around, and we are getting ready for our summer season and haven't got time to concentrate on yet another test piece at this busy time. Especially as some of the key players have moved and it's not fair for them to sight read everything (and believe me my sightreading is naff and I'm one of the ones that have moved!) just so we can spend time on a testpiece.

Hopefully, we are going to enter next year when everyone is settled! :D

Nice set of entries for our section. Shame about some of the other sections though.
