A thought has just occured to me that if a lot of people on here (me included) actually spent the amount of time on practising...there would be some kick ass players out there :D

I often log on at work and my co-workers would not appreciate me practicing. Come to think of it, practicing at the office would probably be a career ending opportunity :) Better to just keep hitting the keyboard, I need my job

What if we invented a what if machine?
Link that advert... was it honda? some car thing anyway... that pumped out lots of "whatif"s... What if the world's favourite word wasn't "ok" but "whatif"... does any one know what i'm rambling about?

Don't tell me there are regional variations in the word "practise" like in the rolls/bread/buns/cob thread!!!

I go through phases with practising - I either do an hour every day of the week, or none at all!! It depends on what's going on with the band!! :D

The same thing happens with practising the piano - if I've just started to learn a new piece, or if I have an exam coming up very soon (a stage I'm in at the moment! ), I practise loads, but at other times, I just get bored with it!!

Terrible routines, I know... :D

I have the answer to the 'Can't be bothered to practise' problem - join so many ensembles that you're out playing every night of the week. It'll improve your reading no end too...

I only have an internet connection in the office at work... I don't think too many of my co-workers would appreciate me playing at my desk...
