The best arrangement for brass band of this piece I've heard is by Gordon Langford. It's excellent. His arrangement of Men Of Harlech makes up a good pair if featured alongside Waltzing Matilda.

March of the Cobbelrs?

PS just reading an edition of March of the Cobblers which says its written BY Barrett & Seibert. (Ambleside edition 1969). Just wondering...

Just listened to the recording in the link, and to my mind it sounds like an older "straight" arrangement of Waltzing Matilda-probably from the old "Tunes and Toasts" band books. Just a thought.

Thanks a lot. It is in fact an older straighter version I am trying to get my hands on, Never heard of "Tunes and Toasts" band books. Will try to follow that up.
