According www.4barsrest.com the above results are, indeed correct.

1ST sECTION RESULTS

THANKS FOR CONFIRMING THAT!

HAVE JUST HAD A PHONE CALL AS WELL CONFIRMING THE RESULTS ON 4.B.R ARE CORRECT.

BUT ALSO COMMENTING THAT ABERGAVENNY DID PLAY ALOT BETTER THAN THEIR POSITION WOULD SUGGEST (COMMENT MADE BY A BANDSMAN FROM ANOTHER BAND) AND THAT PERHAPS THE ADJUDICATOR WAS FEELING THE LATENESS OF THE DAY, AS HE HAD LEFT HIS 'BOX' ,COMPLETE WITH RESULTS, AS THE LAST BAND WERE STILL IN THE PROCESS OF LEAVING THE STAGE

wELL DONE TO PARC AND DARE.I WAS ALSO VERY RELIABLY INFORMED YOU WERE THE BEST, JUST IN CASE THERE ARE SOME OF YOU OUT THERE ARE THINKING SOUR GRAPES

Well Done Cwmaman

Just to say well done to all at Cwmaman with coming third at the area, you played very well, and the result was that extra special bearing in mind your principal cornet had an emergency operation on his back the Wednesday before the contest and was doubtful to play, plus the rehearsal time you lost to the weather.

All the very best for the Open and London

proud of you all :D :D :D :D :D :D

Just like to say well done to everyone who played in championship section on Sunday, we were dissapointed with 7th but it was by all accounts a very good contest.
Unfortunately I didnt get to hear any other bands, seeing as we were drawn no.1, I was dutifully respecting the best of all banding traditions and biding my time in the Wig and Pen pub (or the Pig and Wen as I called it most of Sunday)
