Not sure about points etc as I had the results relayed down the phone to me but

1st St Dennis
2nd Lanner
3rd Helston

I'm not 100% but I know for a fact he St Dennis definately got 1st which is a marvellous result considering they are a 3rd section band nationally

Hey! You didn't mention St. Agnes!! We may have come last in the forth section  , but that doesn't mean we weren't there! That was our first contest in four years... :D :D :D

I would say it's because, there are a lot of contests around this time which are seen to be more important. Such as the Area, Grand Shield, Masters. These are all within a short space of time, so it would have been hard to fit another contest in on top of that.
If it's not that, then I dont know really!

But you could of played your programme from Yeovil as it was an entertainment section. Said the same to St. Austell and this also includes Bodmin and Camborne. I can see your point, and it is a heavy workload and a lot of pressure, but the Champion Band of Cornwall title should be one that everyone wants to win!! This year St. Dennis hold that title, I'm sure very deservingly, but they are after all a 3rd (probably 2nd next year) section band. Which opens up the whole issue of the 'Local' gradings!
