This year's other composer anniversary

We all know that this year marks the centenary of the birth of Eric Ball, and the banding community is rightly celebrating this anniversary. However, it's also 20 years this year since the death of Leslie Condon...just wondering if there are any plans afoot for a concert to mark this anniversary? Surely Croydon Cit. SA must be doing something?

So it is. He didn't write much original music for band, though!!! But there are some cracking transcriptions/arrangements around. Let's extend this a bit then...as well as the original 'is there a Condon celebration?' question, what anniversaries should the banding world be celebrating this year? (other than the great Mr Ball)

I shouldn't need to remind you.
Surely you'll be playing all his music.
That should be enough to jerk your memory!! :D
