Yeap! that time has come when Spennymoor is only days away, 11 bands fighting it out...
Who do you think will be in the top 6?

Bands competing are:
Yorkshire Imperial Urquhart
Kirkintilloch
Leyland
Ransome
Ever Ready
Sellers International
Grimethorpe Colliery UK Coal
Carlton Main Frickley
JAG Mount Charles
Scottish Co-op
Flowers

My Predictions- probably completly wrong! Are:

Leyland
Grimethorpe
JAG Mount Charles
Sellers
Scottish Co-op
Ransome

Good luck to all taking part!
:D

For what it's worth....

1. Grimethorpe (sorry Naomi!)
2. Leyland
3. Ever Ready
4. Flowers
5. JAG Mount Charles
6. Scottish Co-op

Now to sit back and let the mockery commence!

Well, it's hard to predict because you never know what people are going to play and how well it will go down (beurgh). However, you can't help thinking Grimey won't have too many problems getting a hat trick - they are by far one of the best concert outfits about. Also, as I'm feeling positive, I'd put Leyland up there.

1. Grimey
2. Leyland
3. Scottish Co-op
4. JAG Mount Charles
5. Sellers
6. Flowers

Here goes:

1: Grimethorpe
2: Ever Ready
3: Scottish Co-op
4: Sellers
5: Leyland
6: Kirkintilloch

I thought at the start of Ever Ready's performance at the Nationals that it was going to be something special - that wasn't to be, but with Ray Farr at the helm in entertainment mode, who knows :?:

Perhaps they'll play twice. I'm quite sure there's rules about a person not being allowed to play with two different bands at a contest, but i can't think of any rule stating you're allowed to play twice with the same band? :?

Interesting theory....could try and play at the areas in a variety of interpretations, thus increasing the chances of winning!

I think you can, as long as you are registered with one of the bands. You can't be borrowed by two bands. May vary between local contests though. I did this at Preston contest one year and drew 1 and 2 playing English Heritage and Paganini... suffice to say I wasn't best pleased! BOC moment over!
