Being a self-procalimed space enthusiast, did anyone see the effects of the Solar Flare on Thursday night?

Fife was a spectaular sight, u'd have to be blind to have missed it!

ah, sorry to hear that!

most places in the world should have seen it, there's no escaping a solar flare!

perhaps the next one, you might be more lucky! It might be soon, coz the sun is going through quite an energic time at the moment.

Unfortunately we in Cardiff had very heavy cloud cover and saw nothing.
We await your new composition Solar Flare.

Now that is spooky! How did you know I was writing Solar Flare? I've actually called it 'Solar 03'

It is to commemorate the Solar Flare that occured last week!

What was it? What happened?

the sun was very active, and there were side effects eg, more sunspots, larger than normal flares, and a large shower of exotic particles were sent towards the earth, which caused the northern lights to be not quite so northern (for those with no clouds).

tres spectaculare!</made up language>

but would have been good to see, I'm sure there are pictures on the web somewhere!
