The images you see on the left underneath registered usernames are called 'rankings'. They give an indication of the number of posts that user has entered on theMouthPiece.com Forums. The more posts and threads you contribute to or answer, the higher your ranking.

Here's the guide to how many posts you need to earn theMouthPiece.com Rankings..

  • rank_music1_0.gif
    = 1 post, theMouthPiece Newbie
    rank_music1_1.gif
= 10 posts, theMouthPiece Friend in Training
    rank_music1_2.gif
    = 100 posts, theMouthPiece Friend
    rank_music1_3.gif
= 200 posts, theMouthPiece Senior Friend
    rank_music1_4.gif
= 500 posts, theMouthPiece Master Friend
    rank_music1_5.gif
= 1000 posts, theMouthPiece Prime Friend
    rank_music1_6.gif

So, get posting and earn your rankings...

In the Rankings description I'm not sure that the word "groupie" is appropriate. The word does have different meanings - do a google search for "what is a groupie". You might want to consider amending the description as people may see the forum as not being quite for them.

Hi Al

Always willing to hear comments/suggestions and I have no objection changing the rank names if you feel some people might think them inappropriate. :D

These new ones OK... :?:

I think "rookie" may have been a good substitute for "groupie" or "newbie", but I don't know if that is used much in the UK

well I'm successfully managing not to write a lab report! Or revise for exams, or tidy room, or get ready for work.

I'm not lazy though, I'm energy efficient!

Hey - how come I'm still a newbie with more than 10 posts ?

I want to be a friend in training

Well Roger still got quite a way to catch up on some of my pals.
Will eventually get there though and be a PRIME FRIEND.

Can you update the rankings list?

Is "tMP posting freak!!!" an actual ranking, or just something some people made up?

I think "Posting Freak" is the titel for members with over 5000 posts...

It also seems that recently the number of posts necessary for becoming a "friend for life" has been changed from 2000 to 3000 posts
Now that I was nearly there... :( :(

Some of the other categories changed as well it seems:
1-9 = newbie
10-99 = friend in training
100-199 = friend
200-499 = senior friend
500-999 = master friend
1000-2999 = prime friend
3000-4999 = friend for life
5000-... = posting freak

people who support tMP financially, can choose their own title

people who won an award in the 24 months live awards also have a special title

Of course i'm not a mod or administrator, so I'm only guessing here...

I think we should ask the acknowledged posting freaks if that is their title of choice.

It doesn't sound terribly complimentary, but you never know;)
