Scottish Band five-a-sides tourney

Just had this thought of the possibility of a five-a-side football tournament for scottish bands sumtime. Just to see what kind of feedback you would give. It would be open to bands from all four sections aswell as a womens tournament. Just get your band to pick 5 players and enter.

What do yous think :dunno :?:

Now, now John, that was quite rude

Those two percussionists are the most demure, unassuming ladies I have met

Count us in for the footy though, I am sure the lads and lasses would love to have a knockabout

Cheers

Alex, I just counted our 4 female brass players ... you know how much the percussionists like to keep themselves to themselves :D

We'd put in a female team but we'd need to guest I think, is that allowed ?

For our male team we'd just stick our trombone section in the goal mouth, would have the best defensive record !

Kingdom Girlies wouldn't need any guests, and we would totally thrash the Kingdom boys, even with their great defence :)

You'd have them quivering in their boots.
How ya doin' wee bongo?

When do you propose the footy take place? Spoke to the Co-op boys and girls yesterday and they were very keen.

Cheers

Why not extend this to tournaments for each region. Winners from each region could then compete in the 'National Finals'!

It'll be a chance for us southerners to win something :!:

Can BT enter it? We can have a lassies team to enter as well. I'm
Scottish so does that count? All the lads are too scared to play us. Or I'll guest with Kingdom (if you need a guest) since my mum and dad live in Fife. Bonny bonny.

I really wanna play. Can't you tell!!!!

Go on go on go on!!!

I've been thinkingbaout this as an idea for a gladstone band social event. Pit section against sections in events such as beach volleyball, football/soccer or something, and a more mental game of Monopoly or even Taboo. We love our taboo down here in this band. Taboo and beer............makes for some interesting responses!

James, sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. Anyway we girlies will be fine with a "kick it and run" philosophy. Just cos it doesn't work at school............

Speak for yourself!
I'm more of a "run-in-the-other-direction-as-soon-as-it-comes-towards-me" kind of gal!
