Reg Vardy & Lyngby-Taarbæk Concert in Durham

Reg Vardy (Ever Ready) Band - Musical Director Ray Farr - and Danish Champions the Lyngby-Taarbæk Brass Band in concert - Elvet Methodist Church, Durham City, Wednesday 28th April at 7.30pm.

Lyngby-Taarbæk's programme will feature the set test-piece for the forthcoming European Championships in Glasgow - St. Magnus, to be conducted by the composer, Kenneth Downie.

Reg Vardy's programme includes Martin Ellerby's Tristan Encounters and Wagner's Procession to the Minster, arranged by Howard Snell.

This concert is part of the University of Durham's Band in Residence Concert Series. Tickets are £5 (concessions £4) and will be available on the door.

There are a number of on-street parking spaces near the church. Alternatively, the Prince Bishops Shopping Centre car park (£1.50 per visit after 6:00pm) is a few minutes walk away.
