I read - with huge regret - about the passing of Ray. A true stalwart of banding in every sense of the word and a true top gent too. It is my privilege to have known Ray and his lovely wife, Margaret, for a number of years. I count them as friends. Ray has given so much of himself to banding. His musicianship is one thing. But his personality, sense of humour and sense of right and wrong is something else. We are a weaker movement today as a result of him finding his resting place. But I know that Ray will be looking down on us all free of pain and the things that have so affected him in recent years.

My heart goes out to Margaret and the family.

Thank you Ray for such a good life. You set a high standard.

May I add my condolences to all in respect of the passing of Ray Peacock. A great man, musician and father! I have the honour to know some of the family, including also some of Taylor family. A sad loss and a my heartfelt best wishes to all. RESURGAM!
