The punters continue to puzzle Paddy in the top section, bets have continued in over the last few days and it's as if Yeovil never happened...

Championship Section

And best of luck, let's hope you can shake the curse of the defending champions here

Let's hope so too, but we know it will be a hard fought contest, but we intend on putting on a performance to leave the adjudicators and audience with a memory for years to come ;)!!

Guess i ought to put my £10 virtual bet on my own band, Flowers in the champ section!
Really looking forward to playing this year, my first champ section area in WoE, can not wait!
Also good luck to my old band Portishead who will be playing in the Champ section for the first time in their history!

My first time at the West of England Championships too.

It will be strange not knowing most of the people there.

I can honestly say I will only know about 30 people.

Looking for value in the 4th section......

Marshfield - 50/1

Yep, my band..... i'll take a bit of each way action on that (how many places each way?)

Considering currently lying 5th on the grading table I think a virtual Tenner (E/W) is worth a shot.

Alks - I would rather be 50/1 than 2/1 favourites - pressure is off you guys and I agree that your ranking would suggest your band is a lot better than a 50/1 shot.

In a section this big it will be the normal result - the first and last three or four bands will pretty much choose themselves and positions 5 - 17 will be the normal lottery of average performances and luck of the draw placements.

There has been very little consistency in this section at the West of England and so promotion could be very interesting.

Of course the incentive of the Nationals being held in Cheltenham, and the potential cost saving associated with that, should make all bands really give it a go this time out.

Young 4 month old colt from Andover in training for first outing, hence unknown form.
Trainer Steve Large has credentials with 2 national wins at previous stable.
What odds for a top 6 finish?

To continue the racing analogy - same trainer, same colt different owner?

Odds for a top 6 finish - odds on possibly?
