Thats a good price on Lydbrook, they have had some decent results the last few years at the Area.

Although the conspirists will say 'ah yeah, with the conductor sharing the box with the adjudicator a few weeks earlier' yada yada, I don't take any notice of that

BUT

16th at the Senior Trophy??... It's that ol' devil called consistancy i'm afraid, there was plenty of bands at Blackpool that they should've had for breakfast, but instead got beat by 2 of their own first section rivals...

Happy with that Paddy although our MD has chosen to take the 9/2 band now and we will have a new one next March. Got some interesting candidates for the post though if that makes any difference to our odds in the 1st section

Yeah I saw the article on 4br, Aldbourne was it? mmm..

I tend to go on the band rather than the conductor unless you pull out a real 'gun' of course.

Well so far the Band has not changed and if anything is showing more "guts" than ever, even organizing a cornet sectional this weekend to sort our own stuff out before new MD comes in.

I'll think you'll find the band have been consistant at the Areas over the last few years.There were a few reasons the Band didn't get a good result at Blackpool,some of which I'm not going to air on here.
