Owen Farr

I've read a lot about this tenor hornist Owen Farr. But who is he? I know he plays for Fairey. Is there any recordings, with him playing solo?

The CD entitled The Music of martin Ellerby has Owen playing Ellrby's tenor horn concerto.
The new Viruosi CD by Faireys i believe has a few solos from Owen.
Skyliner has him playing Cappricio Brillante...

Take your pick...Sure there are many more..he is an awesome player :D

Owen is my hero. He is an amazing player and a very special guy. I heard him play in Manchester once, what a sound!

On the Virtuosi cd he plays his own arrangement of Arban's "Carnival of Venice" and a concerto for horn by Bellini. I heard him play the Arban accompanied by the other members of Sonar Brass in October, and it was a brilliant rendition. Here's a link to the details of the recording:

Although I prefer Gordon Higginbottom's Finness!
