Just been listening to an interesting debate on Radio 2 about the inclusion of darts as an olympic sport. It begs the question, Is it about time Brass Banding was included as an olympic sport...? :lol:

And with all the talk about lead-in beats etc we'd probably never start together either :wink:

To overcome this, the band would start on the firing of a gun. There could be amazing electronic wizardry that could tell how soon after the gun the band came in or, possibly, if anybody came in before the gun.

If the adjudicator didn't like the performance he could shoot the conductor with the same gun at the end of the performance.

Bass players would regularly be subject to dope tests.

Maybe all the bands could start together when the gun is fired, with the one finishing first being declared the winner - or else measure the number of decibels reached for the longest period and choose the winner that way :shock: :wink: :lol:
