The first of a series of Concerts begins this week end at Newstead Welfare. With what is hoped to become a regular Nottinghamshire Venue for Sunday Band Club events.

Newstead Welfare Band and Newstead Training Band begin the series at 8pm on Sunday 18th April

Confirmation is awaited from another two bands for the following two Sundays and then

Sunday 9th May Carlton Band plus Carlton Training Band
Sunday 16th May Long Eaton
Sunday 23 May Blidworth

It depends which comedian you mean either the one that announced Lynden, or Lynden himself. I don't really think the band need to play anything as they can usually rely on him to take up most of the evening talking - but yes he is funny ( I suppose I would say that though!)

Hope everyone can make concert number 2 next week end which is to be a scratch band made up of several local bands - all welcome - proms evening with the proceedes to the Leukaemia Appeal
