Norwegian Help Needed...

A quintet that I play with got a load of music near the end of last year from a group that had fallen apart but had music to spare. One of the pieces was called "En Stjerne Skinner I Natt" which I'm presuming is Norwegian. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could give me some information on the piece, what the title means, etc etc... I'd be very grateful!
As far as I remember Et stjerne skinner i natt is a very popular Norwegian Christmas Carol. Hanne Krogh (she was one of the Norwegian girls who sang or was in Bobbysocks, who won the Eurovision song contest in 1985) has recorded it, I believe. But basically it is a traditional Norske Christmas song.

Jeg hǻper at du skal finnes det trivelig ǻ spille denne sangen.

(Apologies to all Norwegians for my awful grammar).
