OK then, who's going to this in Derby this year?

I shall be there with Carlton Brass playing Northern Landscapes - it's going well, third movement is proving tricky, but otherwise it's an excellent piece. It's difficult enough to sort the wheat from the chaff for sure.

So, who's round is it?

There's more than one Passacaglia? What are the odds of that happening eh? </Harry Hill>
Its a big difference between these two pieces...

The Weaspi-Pices was Testpiece 2001 Swiss Brass Band Championship, first Section.

Its 'Passacaglia for Brass on a theme of Brahms' by Arthur Butterworth.
Its the 1st section Nationals testpiece.
Its a bit of a blow (understatement of the year!!).

This is a nice piece. We had play it in the Military-School. Our conductor had lost the music notes, then we must make the notes with the fullscore... cut, stick..., cut, stick... Because the piece had a long time for delivery....

Thanks for clarifying that Shaz. I was just wondering how long Satan had been an adjudicator. (We've had him a couple of times...)
