I'd agree with that Alan..splendid show at the Senior Cup as well....go Nitten go!!! Oh and I reckon United 2000 Co-Operative Brass will take the third section...we did a joint concert with them recently and none of us could believe they were in the 3rd section!
I suppose
Parc and Dare in the 1st section and Newtongrange
Wire Brass in the 2nd
Aye the Norwest Co - Op as Laura mentioned....I could'nt belive they were 3rd section..
Radyr in the 4th...I think they used to be the famous " Mellingriffith Band / Excelsior Ropes band ( castell coch march )"
Does any one know where there is any cheap hotels ?? as the ones i have phone up want £70 for 1 nite. And they dont have room for two nites!!!
I only want to watch me cosin play in the 3rd Section !! and their hotel is still £70 for one nite!!
Any one help?
Craig
I've been reliably informed that there is some kind of Wedding fayre on at the same time as the Nationals, so I'd imagine Harrogate will be packed out. My bands going to be staying in leeds, seems the easiest option for a hotel!
Predictions....I'm too close to the action, couldn't possibly comment
Off to Harrogate with Becontree Brass (2nd section) .We are a bunch of soft southerners so not sure how we will fare up t'north .This is my first contest - any tips for pre-contest nerves ? Beer / valium / class A drugs ?
I have a pp top A entry after 3 or 4 bars rest in the carol movement of "Chaucers Tunes" which has been causing me sleepless nights since the first run through. If all else fails and I fluff it I will cast an annoyed look at the horn section and hope the audience think it was one of them!!
That may well be the only positive thing about them making it ticket only!!
I know the subject has been dealt with on another thread , but the consensus amongst us at Becontree is we get bevvied in the bar and crash the results - the band sec , chairman and I make a pretty hefty frontrow forward lineup and I'd like to see them trying to stop us! :guiness :hammer
Cheers mate!! Would hope we'll do better than 6th. Got a sneaking suspicion Felling and YBS Concert could also trouble the top 6. My money'll be on Wire to win.
As for the 1st Section, I feel Hatfield are my favourites to retain their title.
