National championships 2017

the test piece for the royal Albert hall this year needs some unique seating. I've been trying to find out what it's all about. Does anyone here know what it involves and why it is done that way?

Layout in the score:
Flugel and horns where front row normally sit, euphs/baris in the middle, troms in normal euph/bari line. Front row behind horns, back row behind troms.

I think its just a particular sound picture the composer is trying to create.... and he's in the box for the finals so I expect most bands will stick to it!

I thought the Basses had to ride round the stage clockwise on unicycles while the front row Cornets sat on the Trombones shoulders and the Conductor conducted by video link from the pub down the road. Now that would be a challenge.
