If I had £1 for evertime I had heard that one Mr Thorne, I wouldn't be selling the euph.

Here, here - keep the Euphonium. It'll do what you want, it has been a loyal servant over the years, and will remain so, it won't argue with you, and won't remind you of something you said 10 years ago when you had an argument.
