It's all YOUR fault!!!

Well after surfing here for the last 16 months (happily initially) as a former player, the itch has built up to an unbearable pain and before it erupts into a festering sore I've bitten the bullet and started playing again!!

5 years off, and now my family will have to put up with lip flexibilities, long notes, very loud diaphragm exercises and Branimir Slokars Warm ups and technical exercises, daily.

...and I blame each and every one of you, with your boundless enthusiasm, musical wit( ) and obscene enjoyment that has opened long forgotten memories - and think of all the beer that I'm now going to have to drink

Thanks guys......

Which band have you joined?
Castleton Brass based in Eye, Norfolk. The fun thing is I'm the only tbn and playing at rehearsal last week after not touching a 'bone for 5 years (at all) was interesting

What embouchure??

(Sorry, that should read Eye in Suffolk. Apologies to all in Suffolk, It's difficult to remember which is which when you live 200m from the border!!)

Glad to have been of some assistance in getting you back into banding and playing. Good luck with your new band...

Congrats'

Just think, not only will your family be putting up with your practicing, but after you've gained 2 stone in proper banding girth, ignored all your other social activitiies and friends and become increasingly obsessive about that length of tubing in yr living room..

you'll wonder how you managed to live without banding so long.

lol laurie, nice one

Mea culpa.....
but hey, they made me join up again after a 10 year break and now I'm invincible
Glad to have you back in the fraternity/sorority. What's the non-gender-specific name for one of those anyway? JS? Keppler? Other intelligent cunning linguists?

I could be wrong, but I think fraternity covers both male only and mixed sex groups. I'm sure that's not very pc though.
