Hi All

My mum needs help! My gormless brother (some of you will probably know him as Edgie, Mike Edge or Jethro in the North West) has put his work shirt in the washer with a blue biro in it!!!

My mum has put the white clothes in the washer this morning and they are all covered in blue ink  She is now on the war path

Can anyone help us???

Thanks
Rachael

You can buy some special stuff called 'Colour Run Remover'.
They sell it in the supermarkets.

I've used this when I've put a new dark t-shirt in the wash with the lights by mistake. It really is good for shifting the unwanted colour out of clothes, but it's really potent stuff. Advise putting clothes in bath, opening all windows and shutting bathroom door.

If it helps...

I used to do the same thing with my school uniform. Mum had a bottle of "Remove-it", a combination of rubbing alcohol and citric acid.....also works on gum.

this is why i only ever wash at 40... i can just throw in everything together and not worry about colours running or things shrinking! (Handy Student Tip Number 2041)

Handy Student Tip Number 2042:

Always buy the same colour clothes

(I did that for a while when I was one! :D )

Kirsty

PS Colour run remover is very good - I've had to use it before too.

You must have been a precocious child, buying colour co-ordinated clothes when you were one  :!:

Student tip 2043...

Don't wash your clothes! ... :?

No, no...not like that! I mean pack em off to mum back home...after all we can't afford laundry prices AND the cost of washing powder! :D
