Friary Meux Brewery Band

Hi

Does anyone have any information about the old Friary Meux Brewery Band or Friary Silver Band from Guildford, which was in existence around the early 1900's. The Surrey Advertiser is compiling information for an exhibition next year. Records show that they came in the frame at the National Finals alongside Black Dyke? Any information would be gratefully received!

Hi Niki
Friary Guildford band is alive and well! The band as is now was formed 20 yrs ago and sponsored by the brewery for several years. I'm not sure if there's any link with the band from 100 years ago.
