Flixton Band are looking for a Percussionist and Bass (either Bb or Eb) to complete their line up. They are 2nd Section and rehearse in Flixton, Manchester. For more information email flixband@aol.com.

I believe she plays second Euph with Flixton.
She used to be in Oughtibridge band when I was playing there.

Just a quick note to say that any students in the area are welcome to come along to Flixton (particularly if they play bass or percussion!). We rehearse 2 miles from the Trafford centre and within easy reach from all the Universities. We are a friendly bunch and do lots of socialising as well as concerts and a few contests (2nd Sc). The band is mainly aged 17-40. If you are interested email flixband@aol.com or PM me.

Flixton Band, North West 2nd Section, have vacancies for the following players :- Solo Cornet, Euphonium, Eb/Bb Bass, & Percussion to complete our line up.
We are situated 5 minutes from the Trafford Centre, and rehearse on Monday and Thursday nights.

We are an ambitious, and fun loving band, and in addition to having a great bandroom (with a pub accross the road) we have great instruments and equipment.

FLIXTON BAND require MD immediately

Flixton Band formally invite applications for a Musical Director to work with them initially through to the North West Area Championships on 14th March, and idealy beyond.
Competing in the second section, Flixton Band are situated 5 mins away from the Trafford Centre, and rehearse on Monday and Thursday.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in preparing bands for competitions, and the desire and personality to take the band forward in both contests and concerts. He/She will have full musical control (No Committee).
The vacancy will not be advertised for long, as we are keen not to waste any valuable rehearsal time.

Best of luck Mike, Sparkly, Leisa and Lynchie etc in your search. I've no doubt that someone will jump at the chance to conduct Flixton. Especially when you consider what a nice bunch of people you all are.

Flixton Band have appointed Peter Lockett to conduct them only until to the Area Contest. Peter will then resume his playing commitments with the band. A long term MD is still required.
Applications are welcomed from suitable candidates, a number of whom will be invited to meet the band after the forthcoming area contest.

For the record, I am not asking for the sticky to remain. I was trying to make the point that we have not yet replaced our MD, and are still looking to appoint a suitable applicant who can commit to the band after the area.
I didn't want Roger's statement to put off anyone SERIOUSLY interested in the job.
I Hope this is now clear.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in preparing bands for competitions. Do you have the determination to take a strong committed team forward. Flixton Band has a good variety of engagements secured for the forthcoming concert season.
The selected MD will have full musical control (No Committee), and should be ambitious, forward thinking.
Having benifitted from National Lottery funding, the band are fully equipped, and enjoy excellent rehearsal facillities.
Flixton Band are situated 5 mins away from the Trafford Centre, and rehearse on Monday and Thursday.
