Can anyone clarify the tempo for me at G please? Its in 6/8 but the tempo marking on the score is croctchet =, rather than as I'd expect dotted crotchet =

Many thanks

We had an old set lent to us before our purchased set arrived. In the old set it was crotchet = 84-88. In the new set it is quaver = 84-88 which I am informed by the publisher is the correct marking.

That's great thank you - might I also enquire if there were any other errat that the publisher has noted please?

There were a couple of cornet parts that had a quaver rest missing somewhere in a 12/8 section. Off the top of my head I can't remember where.

Might be that you have an old set? I'm sure my score is quaver = 84-88 at that point.

I hear you're pinching one of my percussionists for Butlins.

I can't make it this year (for the first time in a while) but I'll be watching the results and I hope you are placed well. I listened to you at the areas and I thought you played very well and deserved better placing than you got. I listened to you guys play and I was honestly worried about my take on the piece and thought you may have had it. Best of luck and do the North proud!
