So who's who?

And where's Keppler during all this?

If anyone has any photos of Keppler in compromising positions, we're prepared to pay handsomely, as much as 75p!!

As has been said already 'twas a fantastic event - I was even lucky enough to have the honour of having a turn in ''The Pink Hat''! Met lots of fantastic people, and it was a pleasure playing (and dancing    ) alongside all of you and the getting drunk with you all!
As has been mentioned, Jessop Smythe, you deserve an award sir for getting the bar re-opened at 2am! Thank you!
Can't wait 'til the next one.

mwhahaha :D
yup, I have the deviant pics, hat pics, beer pics... AND the amazing elin dancing! (complete with zoom)

all will be available soon for purchase over the tMP e-shop (*)

Well done to everyone who was there, was a good do, and a good night afterwards. Particualarly cheers to GeordieColin who let me crash out in his spare bed. It was good missing the rugby with you mate ;) (all due to certain twigge family members disrespecting their promise of a wake-up call.. and only getting woken up by some random rumanian cleaner walking into our room by mistake!!!)

Also thanks to doran for being a big boc and refusing to stay over! Even with the offer of jiggy-jiggy... the question over his sexuality will be opened in a thread near you soon.

Lots of highlights for me, in particular:
The approx 6 hours stood outsude freezing our rocks off, playing to an audience of approx 5 or 6 ;)

BANJO MAN :D - this guy was hilarious.. came up to us and attempted to boc us.. presumably for money.. but he didnt get this far as our very own superboc darth_tuba met him with a torrent of abuse which ultimately ended in the discussion of coconuts in the japanese economy.. or something like that :?

JessopSmythe for reaming the bar manager until he reopened the bar for us around 2 hours after it was meant to have closed.

Johnny Wilkinson - nuff said :D :bounce

NeilTwist for the hilarious picture of us two posing with as much beer (real beer not edited beer!) as we could fit in our arms... and Neil dropping half a glass of vod+coke into his pint of guiness about 3 times before it was balanced properly!

The unnoficial tMP cake's tuppaware box, for making a star appearance as a dep, with Leisa's pink hat and Neil's glasses.

The continuity editor's nightmare... after the beeb announced they would do 3 takes of our floral dance" after each take we moved the pink and grey hats around the band (the latter meaning my eyes were temp. unavailable for the 2nd take) and mysterious pudsey's appeared in people's bells (beurgh)

The fact the the words beurgh and boc were actually catching on by the end of the day :D best!

The fact that i wasn't edited of *beeped* in anyway when I swore infront of a mod... This may have occured many a time, as I was stood next to one all evening :D cheers for putting up with my random note generation Dyll :)

Doran, for getting chronic cba (more than most) towards the end of the day and refusing to play most pieces except finishing with a random reaming pedal note.

CornetGirl for inspiring the band with her choreographed eliteness... I can only hope that my bobbing came up to standard!

Overall a good do :) bring on the next!
(please "remind" me if I have forgotton any more!)

(*) This probably will definately will not occur

Yeah it was an ace day. I've got over the back ache and thawed out now.And my lips are kind of getting back to some normality. But it was great to see you guys and find that what I thought most of you would look like was totally wrong-my psychic powers must be failing me. However my teeth are cleaner than ever-cheers for the freebies rach! :D

Well, back to room temperature at last!

Was great to meet so many of you, although a little surprising that some of you thought I would be a dark haired 50 year old apparantly?!!!

The pink hat was fab - its a real shame the beeb didn't do a proper slot for us on the telly as it would have been well funny! The photos of 'guess who is behind the pink hat' should be out soon tho......

I was the one standing next to Kev. Didn't realise they said he had a 'big one' on the radio tho - were they on about bellies? Its a very personal thing to ask imo ;-) Also, no one has mentioned that blasted carrier bag banner!!!

Can't wait to see Neils version of us all holding pint glasses either!

The curry and beer made what had been a long cold day into an excellent one.... pity I didn't know the bar would re-open as I left around 12.30 after last orders no.1

A great day - even though I probably coughed my way through 25% of the pieces - damn flu! It was good to meet those I hadn't met before - it was even good to meet all those I had met before! ;)

There were many highlights - when John announced the total amount that was pledged by tMP members was the main one for me - wow - great response by all concerned.

There were also many surreal moments:

- getting changed on the pavement outside Emporio Armani!
- the second recorded run-through of Floral Dance - this will be remembered as the silly-hat run-through! Perfect timing on the hat-over-eyes front Aidan - just as the camera came to us you had to start miming - not sure how convincing it was though! ;)
- playing in freezing fog outside a huuuuuge ferris wheel carrying a human hamster - doesn't get more surreal than that!
- banjo-man - 'nuff said!

And to top it all - a 4 hour journey home along a fog-covered M6 - nice!

All in all, it was a really enjoyable day - bring on the next event!

PS. I'm sure the infamous video would be on the list of favourite moments - but I guess we'll never know!

I wasn't being a BOC, I had to go home as I had important things to do the next day (i.e. scrabble around for a trom player for a gig whilst watching the rugby). Also, I can't remember being offered anything deviant in return for staying over that would have actually taken place  Anyway, my sexuality is not in question Aidan... I turned down your offers all night!

I'm quite adept at dealing with random geezers such as this... years of talking to my dad and fending off Oxford Road tramps has given me the ability to confuse and confound them with random comments.

I had Chronic Tuba Failure as well as chronic CBA, resulting in me only being able to play one note per piece by the end of the night. May as well make it tasteless one!

Mmmm, there were some meaty pedals going in!! The fact you lost your 3rd valve after about 5 minutes sort of set the days precedent... It'll be strange going to band tonight and not having to play my Eb's and Ab's louder!!

Indeed, many thanks to the Rumanian Cleaner who finally gave me and Aidan a wake up call at 10.50am  Good job really, rugby aside, as it was 10 minutes before checking out time!! although I recieved a text message this morning from cornetgirl saying.. "10 am wake up call!! you awake yet?"- 2 days late!! dodgy phone...... talking of which..
In defence of the twigges i did recieve wake up calls and mesages but my phone has lost the ability to ring.... i should really have pointed that out when i asked for said wake up calls.

On last point

Wot?? No Dog?!!

I would have woken you all up by knocking.... but sadly couldn't remember where it was. Remember it being through the fire doors somewhere, maybe be I should have asked that night porter if he remembered  ?!

the camera was indeed in the pink hat (pink hat the protector of most things) i was probably still drunk in the morning when i was searching ur room for it realising the camera had infact never entered ur room and was been swung around by me in the pink hat (yes im sorry i was swinging the pink hat around!!!!)

Dyl, don't know whether we said it at the time or were too out of breath after the climb up the hill with the extra instruments, but thanx for being a gentleman and waiting behind the others to escort the girls and myself to the square following their essential little trip to the "powder room". :D

You're welcome Dinie! Actually the real reason was I didn't want to walk through the dark alley all on my own! ;)
