I've done a virtuoso version of 4'33'. Best of the bunch, that one....
Someone likes their John Cage............ ;)

I never thought there was really all that much work in "4'33".

There's no option to vote for "other" :-( Best solo eva (for me at the moment) is Rusalka's Song to the Moon, its one of the most emotional pieces that i've played, i luv it. Everytime i play it, it really drains me because i put so much into it.

My fave is Carnival of Venice (Rimmer arrangement), love playing it. Used to love hearing Steve Ridler playing it with Frickley when I was growing up.

It all depends upon the arrangement - I have one for trumpet ensemble that requires some very tricky mutage;)

IMHO these will take some beating.
"Cleopatra", "Facilita", "Zelda" or, in a different style, "Una Voce Poco Fa"

Is this for the greatest to play ? or the greatest to listen too?

For me the greatest to play is one that i can actually play and enjoy...(that rules out golden slippers ( top F above top C!) )

But David daws playing Golden slippers is one of my favourites to listen to. As are most solos played by the best in the business. Its far to hard to choose from a listening point of view, i like most of em!.
