One that always amuses me is when you see adverts for a "tuned percussionist". Is that, like, as opposed to "untuned" :?: Is an "untuned" percussionist one who can only hit drums?
It's a mystery to me (but then so is all percussion!)

egoless trombone would be more apt!

Have you ever met a trombonist who doesn't think that they are the greatest instrument in the world because they have the 'wonderful' distinction of having a slide rather than valves.

There's more testostorone at a British Trombone Society event than in any football crowd or lap dancing club!
