Area Pieces 2012

One wonders if they have any criteria at all - and as JR and I were discussing last night (there's at least one thing you did yesterday, JR) if indeed the first section do get the Flying Dutchman overture this year, all it will prove is that they don't.

And also, if there are criteria, why can't we be told what they are? It would certainly help everyone with ambitions to write music that might be useful for contests.

So as far as the rumour mill goes, and in the absence of Paddy

C Devil and the Deep Blue Sea 1/100
anything else 16/1
1 Flying Dutchman 1/20
Bandsmans' Spectacular 10/1
Essence of Time 20/1
Anything else 1000/1
2 ??????
3 Shine as the light 1/100
Anything else 16/1
4 Whatever John_D was thinking of ^ 1/100
Anythihg else 16/1

I'd offer very short odds on 'Cross Patonce' for 1st or 2nd section.
