All Aboard with Bradwell Silver Band

Bradwell Silver Band invites everyone all aboard as they embark on a musical global journey when returning to their home parish of New Bradwell. The annual Spring Concert and Awards presentations will take place when the whistle blows at 7.30pm on Saturday 23rd April 2016.

Musical Director Brian Keech will lead the players and audience on a magical journey; using different forms of transport, visiting many countries and types of musical genre including pop, classical and musical theatre. The evening’s soloists include Karen Wilson on Flugel Horn, Adam Chappell on Soprano Cornet, Fraser Cousins on Euphonium and an entertaining performance of ‘The Bare Necessities’ from talented musician Luke Colvin on Tuba.

Once again the Development Band will delight the audience with selection of new music to demonstrate their progress. The Development Band now has 28 members of all ages who are together experiencing the delights of learning and playing a brass instrument. All instruments and tuition are provided by the Band free of charge.

The Spring concert gives the Band members the opportunity to celebrate and recognise the commitment and dedication of its players and supporters. Together with the traditional four trophies this year the members will present a new annual award to a player in the Development Band who has shown outstanding work ethic during the past year.

The event kicks off a busy 2016 engagement list and full details can be found by visiting
