Believe it or not folks, this contest is usually a cracking day out. (from what I can remember through the alcohol induced smog) The comittee do a great job, even if they can't seem to produce an announcement on a 1st attempt.
I really hope my band are going again this year, even if we aren't, I'm coming to sample the hospitality again ;)

It's a cracking contest this one - well run by a friendly committee; a good variety of bands from all sections; plenty of prizes and some excellent pre-results entertainment.

Oh, and lots of beer.

Looking forward to it again - see you there!!

Once again well done to Tracey and Old Silksotne for a fine contest

its a relaxed contest with few rules and everyone is there to enjoy it and help each other out. As a lot of players were playing for other bands.

And in my eyes that is the spirit of Banding not like some of the latest threads regarding other contests.

Well done again Tracey

Well done to all at Thurlstone, we played a cracking performance on the day even though the results don't seem to suggest it. A lot of work went in to it and i feel it payed off on the day. I don't think the draw helped us though.

Agreed. Sometimes you play your best and it's not to one or both of the adjudicators' liking, but that's the way it is. Draw didn't help my wallet either! Great day again - thanks Tracey et al - nice to see plenty of bands helping each other out and enjoying each other's company.

But you weren't drunk by Band 14. Poor, very poor
