We sat upon the river bank
My hand was all a-quiver
I undid her suspender belt
And her leg fell in the river

Try reading it a la Eric Morecambe and it's even better :!:

Indeed. I can hear the rendition in my head! Tommy Cooper-esque wouldn't be too bad, either!

Classic! Have you heard this one............

Paul McCartney talking to Ringo Starr last week:

"So what are you getting the wife this year Paul?"

"I've bought her a plane"

"Really? Wow, bet she'll love it!"

"I've bought her a slipper for the other foot"

Comments please!!

Didn't get that last one...?! Which has made me feel really dumb! :? :(

The joke as I heard it was the SPM had bought Heather a plane for Christmas..... but she was still going to use Immac on the other leg.

She got hit by a motorbike, or bus, or something a few years ago. Now she has a false leg. It also ruined her modelling career......I think.......

As I said to Super_Sop at rehearsal last night.

"This time tomorrow I'll be on the plane".
"Going anywhere nice?" he replied.
"No, I'm hanging a new front door!"
