Jayess Newbiggin Brass require a Musical Director to take the band forward and build on the strong foundations already in place. The band have built steadily since its inception in 2009 and have a loyal and committed core who are determined to improve. We currently perform in the 4th section and...
Are the markings meant to be ritenuto or ritardando? I've been interpreting them as the former, but after having a look at the Tredgear workshop on 4barsrest they seem to be playing the latter. Seeing as the adjudicators seem to want clarity to come through (comments from both judges on...

I've started playing again properly after about 2 & 1/2 years with the stick and i'm after a new mouthpiece.
I now play on a prestige but i'm finding it a bit of a beast to fill compared to other smaller sovereigns I've played on before, and my DW 4AL (which I've always played on) isn't doing...

Willing to help out any bands if I can on euphonium or baritone. Previously played for Blackley Band and Eccles Band and looking to start blowing again.
Does anybody else know how to get this working properly?
I have a Samsung smart tv and found out a while ago that I could play files from the computer to the telly by right clicking on the file and pressing the "Play To" tab. When I did this from my desktop it worked easily, set itself up...
Just wondering if anyone is able to help me out. I'm looking to buy a specific piece of music that, i'm assuming, will be published in either Australia or New Zealand. Is their a sheet music site (like a just music or studio music) that deals with brass band music, i'm assuming their has to be...

Reckon Chelsea will want to prove a point this year, United will be strong but reckon the new/younger players could buckle under big game pressure (especially the keeper). As a...
Above poll:
Would you support scrapping the registration system?
Would you support a technical method of adjudication (like Steven Meads) or keep the same method we currently have?
After reading a couple of threads and looking at the wider picture of the area contests, it strikes me that these...
