    Whit Friday Results?

I think the band regarded Uppermill as their poorest performance of the night...even the very best are entitled to an off moment. The young man on sop (John Campbell) played superbly the rest of the night (2 Best Soprano prizes), which is pretty good, seeing as up until 3 weeks ago he'd never...

PM me if you're somewhere within about 20 miles of Glasgow (East side) and wouldn't mind an old stager sitting in...

Yorks & Humberside BBA Conductor's Course

Just felt the need to congratulate the YHBBA (especially Peter Gilbey and Peggy Tomlinson) for the excellent conductor's course held today in the Friendly Band (Sowerby Bridge) bandroom. Richard Evans was a superb tutor, running the course with his customary humour, allowing all those present to...

    2009 English Nationals

This thread seems to have meandered as randomly as the test piece itself...what on earth all these classical composer references have got to do with the price of cheese is lost on me....but I do know...there's a contest tomorrow in Preston!! I've quite enjoyed working up this piece...up until...
