I could very much need some tips on transposing.
The band I' m playing with is going to play a piece where the tuba part is missing (an earlier tubist probably didn't return his part), so I have to play the bass clarinet part.

Much of the brass band music is written in treble clef. To be able to play this music on tuba I need an explanation on how to read/transpose the music, in a practical way, to bass clef.

After searching high and low for a used tuba (used tubas are not easy to find here in Norway) for some time, I am now offered a Cerveny Eb tuba. Four rotary valves. This could be mine for 10000 NOK, that is 1382$ /867£...
