    Ferrari cheat again....

Who do they cheat? The paying fans and the rest of us that watched the German Grand Prix on sunday. I had a very bad taste in my mouth after watching the way in which Alonso won. Disgraceful. You'd think Ferrari of all teams would realise this would be a faux pas as it was their tactics at the...

    Why do we say that??

I've just wrote something in another thread...Gordon Bennett. I then wondered if people know why we say that and who he was? Gordon Bennett was a newspaper columnist who got a name for writing close-to-the-knuckle comments. Hence people would read what he'd put and say out loud "Gordon...

What DVD have you just watched?

In the hope of proving that we dont all just watch Brassed Off! I've started this thread as I've just watched a dvd called Red Mist. What a load of pish. Starred the geeky one off Primeval. He was in a coma for 90% of the film and he couldn't even make that look convincing! Id give it 1.5/5

    Manor F1

Does anyone know anything about the new team in F1 next year called Manor Sport? Where are they based? WHo is their mysterious household name sponsor? Who will the drivers be? Any whispers anyone? I've heard that they may have enticed Virgin away from Brawn GP but I've got my doubts and also...

    Film Theme Music

There's such an abundance of these about isn't there, some good arrangements, some not. They seem to be very popular with audiences and make for good concert theme's especially as some of them are relatively easy to rehearse and get up to scratch relatively quickly and can be topical too. I...

    Pet Peeves

After my journey back up the motorway today after attending rehearsal with Burbage Silver, I was rather put out by the amount of roadworks, 50mph speed limits with average speed cameras, and closed slip roads which must have added another 50% onto my journey very annoying! I...

    The Best

All the leading supermarkets nowadays do a "budget" brand eg Tesco Value, a home brand and a "luxury" brand eg Morrisons The Best. I like treating myself to these as and when I can afford it/they're on offer/a special occasion. 9 times out of 10 they are very nice. Occasionally I have one and...

I always thought you spelled yoghurt with a "h" in the middle, "yoghurt". However, every single carton of the stuff I've seen spells it without the "h" as "yogurt". I can search on google and it comes up both ways, so what's the story? What's happening with this mysterious optional "h"???

When is a roll not a roll?

Answer....when it's a breadcake! You know, a round piece of dough, baked in the oven, cut in half to make a sandwich. Seems to be one of those things that changes it's name from place to place but where I'm from it's a BREADCAKE! :-) and a teacake has currants in!

    How far to rehearse?

I went to visit friends at another band on sunday at their rehearsal and joined them for a blow. It was a 150 mile round trip which sounds quite a lot but it was only just over an hour each way so I will definitely make an effort to go again as there were some really nice people there (you know...
