    Website construction

Ive done several band websites over the years (as well as many others). They are not too hard to set up and for example a wordpress based site can be set up uising a template design fairly quickly. If you go for a bespoke design then then a little longer. Best option is to get your own hosting...

west of England regional dates 2013? Mistake?

Well its seams its the Sports hall again. I contacted webba and the response was that rotation depends on various factors. The 4th section played on the Sunday in 2009 and in 2005/6 and the sections were big then so I don't see why not again - anyway its all been decided now. I played in the...

west of England regional dates 2013? Mistake?

I noticed that the dates have been set for 2013 - has there been a mistake?. The bands are supposed to rotate every year so that you get to play on a Sunday every 4 years. Next year the 4th section is supposed to be on a Sunday and get to play in the main hall instead of the poor sports hall...

Sold/Expired Wanted: round stamp sovereign cornet

Yeah the 928 was the replacement for the 921 in 1984 - but I think it had the Besson logo on not the Boosey round stamp logo. Either way they both had triggers. The smith watkins was a further development of the 928 as the same guy who designed the 928 later designed the Smith Watkins. :)

Sold/Expired Wanted: round stamp sovereign cornet

What sort of price do the 921's fetch? Oh and rapier the 921 is the Large bore Round stamp (globe stamp) sov - It was the top of the range and had both triggers. The other model was the 923 which was the medium bore model. If you had a round stamp sov then it would have been the 921. al

    Westminster Instruments

looks like a Indian / Chinese factory make it with some uk distributor branding it up and doing the selling. I fail to see how they can be 'renowned for being free-blowing, well balanced and comfortable for all players' like it says on their website. They may be all of these things but not...

    Band website reviews

I have updated the marshfield band website to include a content management system and because of this I had to widen the design slightly by adding an extra column - so the design is essentially the same as it was when it won the web site of the month in Nov 2007. So hopefully its fair for me to...
