I heard some sad news that Honley's Bass Drum player Carlton Mellor collapsed and died at the end of the contest . (As reported in the Huddersfield Examiner ) . My thaughts are with the band and his family .

Its ironic I was was just thinking about him a couple of weeks ago as I had a mouthpiece I would have liked re-plating . He did a fantastic job on a couple of mine a few years ago , and as said earlier he really was a true gent . A very sad loss indeed .
