Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

What a brilliant film!!

Me and the kids loved it, one of the best films I've ever seen.

My son was sobbing his heart out at the end, bless him.

Go see it.

Yep - totally agree.

I haven't read any of the books, but with my gal Heather I have seen all the movies. This one in particular struck me as dark and mysterious - but certainly the best film yet. I hear that the book of this particular film is one of the weakest in the Harry Potter series, but as I haven't read any of them I am not qualified to make a comment on that - I can say though that of all the Harry Potter films I have seen, this is by far the best.

It is slightly more adult in nature, is not particularly strong on storyline, but is an excellent one to watch in the cinema nonetheless. Go see it...:)

Heather loved it too!

PS: during the pre film stuff i.e. ads and trailers - we saw what looks like a fabulous film for effect aficionados - Transformers. OK, typical clap trap storyline - but the effects look outstanding. Picture the Citroen ad when the car turns into a robot and runs or skates on the ice - good effect yeah... well multiply that effect one hundred fold and you'll be in the right ball park for the sort of effects you'll see in that film.

Sad I know - but I will be watching for that one... 21st July release!:)

I can't wait to go and see it! Unfortunately I seem to be working/at band most of this week so it looks like it's going to have to wait for a bit :(

I have just got back from watching it (I was very brave and went all by myself!).
THought it was definitely the best film of the five so far, although still not a patch on the books, but that's the problem with reading books and seeing films, you can't help but complain.

Personally I thought Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange was awesome and I also thought the girl who played Luna Lovegod was very good - she played her just how I imagined her to be!

Generally enjoyable though and Harry is generally just amazing! Just 1 week until the final installment - so very happy!

Too right. As well as those film fans there is also a legion of grown ups who grew up playing out battles of autobots and decepticons on the school playground.

The trailer is worth the cinema ticket alone

Luckily, my little lad loves transformers and has several of the toys. We are still trying to work out how to transform most of them:biggrin:

As for Harry Potter, I am a big fan of the books but can't abide the films. I think it is because Daniel 'Oooh look at me I am so hardcore now I have done rudey theatre' Radcliffe brings out a side of me which is violent and needs chemical control.

Book Seven - can't wait.

Just back from watching it. Ages since I read the book, so couldn't remember it all, or compare the two, but certainly a good film!

One week until book 7...

Daniel Radcliffe was interviewed on radio one the other day and he sounds like the loveliest, sweetest person ever!! ...and he also has fantastic taste in music as he chose some great songs to be played!

Haven't seen the film yet but can't wait to see it! And can't wait for the book either!!!!

Hmmmm... I think my wife is possibly heading for a temporary ban here for continually

(1) abusing tMP staff members
(2) taking threads and posts off topic

... I'd be careful if I were her!
