No Score or Music supplied

Apparently the MD has lost his score so will be conducting the band without it... hmmm... I guess it happens to the best of us eh!!

Very mellow sound to the band - who make an excellent start.

Exciting 3rd cornet... wonderful stuff. You deserve to be 2nd cornet at least!!

From where I am sat, you sound very well balanced, and are producing a lovely sonorous sound.

Nice Solo Cornet - well played. Faster movement not always together... but the balance is always prevalent. Nice flugel in the fast 3/4 section (I think it's 3/4 - no score). Well controlled through the rall's.... with solo doing very well again in short solo parts.

Bass starts to get raspy during the ascent!! Shame.... don't lose the balance you have maintained throughout the piece so far.

Accel... very aggressive playing, capturing the essence of the piece... nice Bass Trom... you continue to play well through this section... Ct tremolo not always balanced...

Well done to Lympstone... a performance worthy of the top four we feel.

We have offered our opinion of the bands performance based on the music, and on what we hear; and not on the technicalities of notes and other musical markings in the score etc.

Please don't be offended if you don't agree with what we write. This will simply be a combination of a report of our opinions on how we felt the performance went on the day, and of what's happening at the contest.

Please feel free to add your comments and your scores based on what you heard but please remember to keep these constructive and within the spirit of tMP and our guidelines.

Yeah, the score being lost was a bit of a shame.......it has now been found though, the part I had sorted for you guys was used on stage instead......sorry about that but the thought was there! Pretty happy with the way we played, thought last was a little harsh t be honest but there you go.

Oh no - last?! I was there - cheering loudly for Lympstone, I obviously didn't cheer loudly enough! I thought there were some incredibly musical moments in it - much more musical than my cd recording in places. Am really sorry that you guys didn't do better; but I did have a lovely day out in Weston, and it was great to have a mini-Lympstone reunion with other former Lympstone-ites Annabelle (well she's not playing at the mo!), Sam, and Cathy (well, I see her every week at band, but not with other Lympstone-ites), and everyone we all used to play with!!

"Exciting 3rd cornet"...woohoo!! Yes, I did try my best, it's a shame the rest of the band let me down...!

Nah, I don't think we could have played much better...it's a shame that we came last, but I don't think we were expecting much higher than that...it was just good to be competing at that level!! But fourth would have been nice...maybe next year?!

Rest of the band let you down - you can play my part next time if you want to!!

I think they may have meant to say 'excited' 3rd cornet.
