I thought that was supposed to be half the fun of Internet forums.

By whom? I don't remember seeing that. And the main potential draw to you might be "juicy gossip and strong opinions" but there's a very short step from there to "malicious gossip and ignorant claptrap". Interestingly some of the meatier threads in the site's history (e.g. King/YBS, Grimey/Webster) were stomped on not by the Mods but by members of the bands concerned desperately trying to stifle speculation and debate (understandably wanting to protect their own bands' reputations). Depending which ones you're talking about, they generally don't add anything in terms of "insight and gossip" though, do they? I note that during the brief life of JP's Facebook "gobpiece" the group also fell victim to a few trolls and guess what? Poor old JP didn't like it. You live by the sword, etc....

This thread should now read; 'Is this thread, about "is tmp's time passing", passing?'
There is nothing new to say - but some seem to be trying to say it!
I thought that we had decided NO?
Now this IS becoming tiresome.

Indeed, I'm almost moved to stop reading the thread. One wonders what keeps me coming back.

Just thought I'd add - Pessimism Angst Tip is an anagram of the title of the thread. Kinda suits some tMPers, doesn't it?

I have often thought some people hauled over the coals on this site were actually forced into aggressive arguments by simply defending themselves against such group bullying.
There does seem to be quite a few humourless folk around just looking to jump on a "tongue in cheek" posting and spoil the fun with their thin lipped, grim faced, prating bleating PC claptrap !! (In my personal opinion only of course !)
