    Butlins 2014 - Rehearsal Rooms

    Hi,

Does anyone know how you go about booking a rehearsal room at the Butlins contest? I cannot find any information on this.

Also, if the rehearsal rooms on site are full, can anyone suggest a good alternative venue for the Saturday morning?

    Thanks in advance.

Quite a few bands rehearse on saturday morning at Skegness Academy (local secondary school). It's within easy reach of Butlins (5 minutes by car).

Don't know if it's changed now, but when we used to go to Butlins, there were plenty of on-site rehearsal facilities available to book, however they had to be pre-booked, which made no sense when one didn't know the draw in advance ...

Church of the Sacred heart is excellent, I've used it with two bands the last two years, however neither of my bands are going next year, so try there - Nice hall, warm, easy acoustic, has been ideal for us. .

Skegness Golf Club wins hands down. Nice (warm) room to rehearse in, tea/coffee flows freely and full English breakfast for a fiver!
