Just adding these to brassbandresults.... How does the scoring work for the lower divisions? What are the single-digit and double-digit numbers marks for?

Incidentally, speaking of automatic translaters, PGS4038, your results post seems to have been through one! Sometimes it works with band names (e.g. Jaren Hornmusikkforening -> Jaren Brass Band Association), sometimes it doesn't (e.g. Fjell Brass -> Mountain Brass)...

Small mark for programme/entertainment, big mark for music.

I was in too much of a hurry to check it all through, and the editing system timed out on me on the first post, hence the second more complete but less well translated (if at all) post. Thanks Dave.

Manger didn't go to SIDDIS this year. We are going to Belgium this weekend, competing at the IBBC 2012.

I attended SIDDIS this year for the first time. It is a great event and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Some super performances from bands in all the sections I heard. I missed section 3, unfortunately, and only managed to hear one band in section2. The section 2 band I heard was the winning band, Rong Brass. They were very impressive. I thought they delivered a really good programme very well. Brilliant playing in the Elite Division. Congratulations to Stavanger, Alan Withington and Robin Dewhurst, on their programme and performance both in the contest and the gala concert.

No excuse lol! Best of luck in Belgium.
It's not how you play ... it's the way how you play it!
