So many to choose from, but it has to be Titan's Progress for me, without a doubt. I also like Spirit of Puccini (Pallhuber again) and Malcolm Arnold Variations (Ellerby). I'm getting into Electra too, which is another Ellerby piece

Titans Progress (simply awesome)
Dreams (again simply awesome)

The Drop

At the risk of summoning He-who-must-not-be-named I also enjoyed "James Cook"
"Torchbearer" are faves as well.

Jame Cook as most enjoyable played but you could have guessed that anyway ,followed by "Wayfarer"

Curious that most of the test pieces listed (that have been written since 2002!) are top section.
Someone said Saint-Saens Variations, I only heard it a couple of times but really liked it. There must be some other 'lower section' gems out there too?

Lower section gems look no further than Dark Side of the Moon by PLC and Penlee by Simon Dobson two superb pieces and great for both listener and player

Though I love most of Eric Balls wonderful musical portfolio, I must say "High Peak" (and I've played it) never reached the heights for me.
