The Brass Band Method

Has anyone bought and used this considerable chunk of work? I have been after band excersises for a good few years and this while being expensive seems a very comprehensive piece of writing. Before I spend 250 quid, I was wondering if anyone else had experience of it and if it's considered worth the outlay.

Having read through the info about the method I can see it's worth but, as Bruce has given the components of the method, a conductor/band trainer could possibly use material they already have to carry out these excercises. I'm not knocking it, and I can see the benefits, but the useful things to watch out for are already there in the explanation. It IS a lot of money mind...

Hi Toby,
I'm pretty sure that Old Jimmy Kitchen used it at Pete's first band, Newtownards. It was excellent.
