Ever fancied living in New Zealand?

The management of Dalewool Auckland Brass have asked me to advertise our current vacancies here.

The band requires an excellent solo horn player. We are looking for someone who had the ability to lead a section in a UK championship section band to join our young, hard-working, sociable band.

In recent years Dalewool has performed internationally (including the British Open) and is the 2011 New Zealand Band of the Year.

The band are in the early stages of planning a major overseas tour for 2012 and is keen to get this vital seat filled!

A lot of information on the band is available on our website, nzbrass.com.

We are also particularly interested in hearing from bass players (Eb or Bb) and we welcome approaches from any other ambitious/talented players to swell the ranks.

Some support with moving to Auckland, New Zealand may be available for the right candidates.

Feel free to pm myself or contact the band through the website (in confidence if required) if you wish to know more or register interest.

Pleased to say we have had two very good responses to this, one which is sadly unlikely to work out but another which looks extremely promising. Of course, the offer is still standing!

    A quick update for us!

    The solo horn vacancy remains.

We would also like to recruit an Eb bass to fill a gap on that row.

We're reasonably stocked around the rest of the band but welcome approaches from talented players on any instrument!

If you are out of NZ we may be able to assist with relocation, send me a PM

    Update on current vacancies:

Specific vacancies for trombone (solo or 2nd, I'm flexible) and Eb bass.

Otherwise we're well covered but always welcome new talent on any instrument!

Practical assistance moving and finding work is available.

Also we have a great new conductor - press release coming soon.
