Brilliant in the 3rd section they've managed to preidict all 8 bands in there somewhere!! What a piece of sitting on the fence that is.

Back in the 80s 4BarsRest predicted that the Sinclair C5 was the future of transportation. They also said that mobile phones and the internet would never catch on.

More recently they have predicted that the Chris Waddle back perm will make a stunning comeback.

A couple of gaffs in the 4th section - we didn't have a solid 7th last year, we came 7th and last in the 3rd section and got relegated!

And Stanhope have been accused of drug taking: "they were doping with regularity before their break"

Lol.

Still love it to bits though.

I'm quite impressed this year - perhaps its because every other region has finished that they can spend a bit more time researching but the write ups for each band are positive and a generally good read.

(Makes me wish I could pop up to watch 4th and 3rd section on the Saturday)

I like the Bearpark summary:

"’The band that makes the North East Rock!’ – according to their website that is, returns this year hoping to improve on the disappointing result of 10th a year ago.

The Esh Band was originally formed in 1950 and joined forces with Bearpark in 1979, but its not clear from which date they started the rock and roll. Hopefully on Saturday night we may find out if they can really live up to their proud boast! "

Can't believe how quiet it is on here! Just because everyone else has forgotten about their area contests, doesn't mean we have to!
