The efforts of 'bannisa' are to be admired, apparently Grimethorpe have never sacked anyone and they all live in a world milk and honey! Why can't we have some honesty on these pages even if it's...
Is that a cornet player with principles or you actually looking for a 'Principal' cornet? Maybe if both apply you can get the one with principles to sit on 'tutti' cornet...
Charmed does make some interesting remarks and it is always good to consider these issues, they affect peoples lives after all!
I would like to ask though, if this is not the first time that a...
On the subject of where have they all gone... There was not many years ago some young players who did make an art of BBb playing but where are they now and what is it about bands that we don't keep...
What 'problems' are you thinking of? Vague comments that add nothing to the debate just go to show what a slimey little business bands have turned into...

It's 25 years since Black Dyke completed their clean sweep of contests in 1985. BBC Band of the Year, Yorkshire Area, European, Open and Nationals.
Who can name the members of that band?
...
So who did win then?
Any news on this year's contest?
Bit of a thinly veiled crticism of conductors it seems. Who was conducting the bands anyway?
Anyone know who's taking Imps?
The discussion pages following the departure of Roger Webster and several other quality players generated some of the most heated debate seen on The Mouthpiece. Lots from the remaining sources at...
Dear Wilkie, you seem to think I'm having a go at you personally. Nothing further from the truth. I see you list 'brief flirtations with B&R and Dyke' and 20 years with an Oompah band... if only the...
